"The body comes in all shapes and sizes. No one has the same body structure. Some are extremely muscular, others are thin, some are tall and some are very short. We can try to enrich our image by exercise and eating properly, but the ultimate challenge is to feel good enough about ourselves so we can withstand pressures that are put on us by society ("the perfect body").
Learning to believe in and accept oneself, as a unique individual, is the challenge that everyone in society faces. That is why I became involved with The Alliance for Eating Disorders... I have had numerous friends both in and out of the industry succumb to those {negative} pressures and develop eating disorders. It’s a long road that is filled with unhappiness. You must know that there is help available. I invite you to e-mail me any questions about me, the industry, body image, or anything else! I want to help make a difference! Don’t forget: You must learn to feel comfortable in your own skin and remember, you are beautiful JUST AS YOU ARE." About Lauren:
